Stuck with no idea how to bring in challenge colors to your project? Abstract Art stamp set to the rescue!! I love this set so I decided to show it some love for this card that kinda had me stumped. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and adhered a strip of Fun & Frolic Paper Pack on the right side.

Then I stamped Abstract Art with the challenge colors and the “GREETINGS” part of the sentiment from Hand Lettered Holiday with Gravel Gray dye ink. I cut Happy Birthday Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock three times, adhered them together and to the card and finished off with some enamel dots.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I decided to use the square for a shaker element for this card. I added Black & White Basics Paper Pack to the bottom, cut the edge of the Sweet Tooth card stock front with Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics, and created my shaker element with foam mounting tape, Heat Resistant Acetate card stock, and sequins. The sentiment was stamped before assembling the shaker element.

I added a Single Stitch Line Square Frames Die-namics to the front, Party Banners Die-namics across the top and stamped and colored BB Beary Special Birthday balloons for the side.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks so Very Much–Color Throwdown Challenge #444

CTD444_2017may17

Hello, I’m back with another Color Throwdown Challenge! This week our hostess is Amy Rohl and she has picked a classic color combo based on her equally classic inspiration piece.

swatch444

Since the colors and inspiration piece are calm and simple in design, I went the same way. I’ve been seeing art work around with just one large framed tropical leaf so that was my inspiration. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added strips of Calm & Cozy Chevron Paper Pack down each side. Then on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock I cut Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics and stamped the sentiment from Thanks so Very Much with Black Licorice dye ink.

I popped that up on the base with foam mounting tape and added a leaf from Leafy Greenery Die-namics cut from Gumdrop Green card stock. To finish off I added some enamel dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD444 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd444 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented May Guest Designer, Amy Tsuruta!

Flowers & Foliage–MFT May Creative Construction With Blueprints Challenge

CCwithBP_2017may23

Hello and welcome to the May edition of MFT’s Creative Construction With Blueprints Challenge! Flowers and leaves always add elegance and an inviting organic feel to your projects. Whether you build a bouquet of beautiful blooms or feature a single standout blossom, your recipient will be touched by your effort. Many of our Blueprints Die-namics feature floral accents and this month, our team has crafted a bevy of looks to inspire your next project.

MFT_CreativeConstruction_SideBar

I’m using Blueprints 12 Die-namics for my flowers and foliage today. I created a bouquet of colorful flowers and leaves using Sour Apple card stock, In the Buff card stock, Orange Zest card stock, Grapesicle card stock, Pure Plum card stock, Cotton Candy card stock, Ripe Raspberry card stock, Wild Wisteria card stock, Lavender Fields card stock, Coral Crush card stock, Tangy Orange card stock, Peach Bellini card stock, Persimmon card stock, and Daffodil card stock.

I used a Sweet Tooth card stock base, added some Black & White Basics Paper Pack and then stamped another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock with Distressed Patterns and Black Licorice dye ink. I cut the edge with Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics, popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape, and added a sentiment from Feel Better, stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Love all those pops of color on the black and white base!

And that’s all from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
