MFT April New Product Launch

productrelease1_2014apr8

It’s time! Time to shop the April release, live right now in the MFT Boutique!! I have a few cards for you tonight using Blue Skies Ahead. Love this set!!

Print

For my first card I went with a graduation theme. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base then added Cloud Cover-Up Die-namics cut from Sno Cone card stock. I added a mortar board from LLD Graduation Accents Die-namics, and the sentiment, cut with Layered Label Die-namics, stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I embellished it with some gold cord and enamel dots, along with a gold card stock tassel.

A sentiment from LLD Happy Graduation is on the inside, stamped with Black Licorice ink.

For my second card, I was inspired by the Weather Channel, LOL! I often see graphics showing the progression of weather from rain to sun so I thought I’d play off of that to go with this sentiment.

My rainy side was made by spreading modeling paste with Raindrops Stencil on Grout Gray card stock and adding clouds cut from Cloud Cover-Up Die-namics in Grout Gray card stock and Steel Gray card stock. The sun side has a blue sky using Sno Cone card stock and a Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics sun cut from Lemon Drop card stock, along with Sweet Tooth card stock clouds. The sentiment was stamped on Sweet Tooth card stock with Steel Gray ink, popped up on foam, and embellished with enamel dots.

Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside with Steel Gray ink.

My third card is a bright sunny scene outside a window.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added another Sweet Tooth card stock panel. I stamped the sentiment in Steel Gray ink at the bottom, then built my window. To do this, I first stamped the woodgrain image from LJD Western Backgrounds on Kraft card stock with Kraft ink and cut a frame using two sizes of Square STAX Set 1 Die-namics. Then I cut two strips for the sashes and one size of the Chalkboard Frame Builder Die-namics for the sill. Working front to back, I added a Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics sun, cut from Lemon Drop card stock, the sky using Cloud Cover-Up Die-namics and Sno Cone card stock, and finally backed with a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock. After that was all assembled I popped it up on foam on the base.

Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside with Steel Gray ink and Berrylicious ink.

My final card also plays off the sentiment from Blue Skies Ahead.

This card also starts with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I added a Grout Gray card stock layer on which I stenciled translucent embossing paste with Raindrops Stencil. Here’s a close up of the look the translucent embossing paste give the raindrops:

After that I built a Layered Umbrella Die-namics using Grout Gray card stock, Steel Gray card stock, and Razzle Berry card stock, Lemon Drop card stock, and Berrylicious card stock on which I stamped a border from LLD Mod Borders with Steel Gray ink. I made storm clouds from Grout Gray card stock and Steel Gray card stock with Lemon Drop card stock lightning cut from BB You’re Super Die-namics. The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock with Steel Gray ink, popped up on foam, and embellished with enamel dots. Beginning to think I might need an intervention re: the enamel dots…nah, probably not ;-)

The inside has another sentiment from the set stamped with Steel Gray ink.
